The Challenge
The original pages were left from a previous shared design language.
Higher ed recruitment is a highly competitive, risk-averse space driven by tight budgets and complex enrollment goals. Our challenge was to design a unified web ecosystem for Niche’s suite of B2B institutional products. We needed to build a scalable digital experience that spoke directly to university enrollment managers, deans, and marketers, proving the value of our data and student insights. The core tension was creating a design system that felt sophisticated and enterprise-ready for institutional buyers, while seamlessly retaining the vibrant, student-first DNA that makes Niche trusted by millions.
The Strategic Approach
As Lead Brand Designer, I approached this by moving away from isolated landing pages and building a scalable, system-first framework. I developed a modular component library that allowed us to rapidly deploy tailored product pages for specific institutional needs—whether showcasing enrollment marketing tools or advanced audience analytics. To establish immediate credibility with higher ed decision-makers, I established a visual language that balanced Niche's approachable identity with enterprise authority, using to highlight our platform's ROI and integration capabilities.
Bridging Brand and UX
Translating a consumer-facing brand into a B2B institutional ecosystem required a strict balance of brand equity and high-utility UX. Because web accessibility is non-negotiable in education, I engineered a digital color matrix and typography hierarchy that met AA standards without flattening our premium visual identity. I collaborated closely with our web developer to ensure interactive features felt elegant, highly intuitive, and distinctly on-brand.
The Business Impact
The rollout of the new B2B ecosystem successfully elevated Niche’s institutional presence and streamlined our product launches. By introducing the modular design system, we cut product page time-to-market by half, eliminating design bottlenecks across teams. More importantly, the strategic visual restructuring directly moved the needle on institutional adoption, driving an increase in demo requests and a boost in qualified leads from high-tier universities looking to optimize their enrollment pipelines.
