How to Upload a Crisp and Clean Artwork onto Instagram
The Simple Trick to Keep Your Artwork on Instagram from Being Grainy
Your Artwork deserves a high quality upload
We all know that vectors, .jpgs can get grainy and rasterized when they are uploaded onto Instagram.
Thankfully it’s an easy fix!!
Make sure your artwork is 1080px x 1080px. That is an easy start. This can be done on any platform, but I suggest Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Photoshop.
Saving in Adobe Illustrator:
Export, Export, Export
When you are saving the artwork go to File > Export > Save for Web (Legacy). Once a new window has popped up, there are options on the right. Under the drop down menu that is labeled Name, choose PNG-24. This allows all your work to have more colors (256 colors) at a smaller file size. Instagram can only support a smaller file size, so Instagram itself will decrease the size and rasterize the file you upload if you don’t decrease it yourself. Basically, you’re packing more colors in a smaller box. It’s awesome, and it works.
